RPM Biking Program To Begin In May

Post date: Feb 14, 2017 6:02:36 PM

A new biking program called RPM (Ride Pedal Move) will be available in Missoula beginning in May, 2017. It is geared to anyone with a neurological disorder, and would greatly benefit those with Parkinson’s Disease. We all know that exercise is important for mental and physical well-being. It has been shown through numerous research studies that physical activity is important in daily life and keeps the muscles, neurotransmitters, nerve pathways, brain, and body happy.

The goal of this cycling program is to #1 have fun and #2, to promote exercise and outdoor experiences by providing a safe, supportive and encouraging atmosphere, in order to build community and create success, confidence, happiness and independence. A variety of bikes will be available for you to ride, or you can bring your own bike.

Rides will take place on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month beginning May 8th and ending August 28th. We will meet at McCormick Park at 6pm and ride from there.

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in getting onto the email/phone list, please contact Molly Blair of New Directions Wellness Center at (406) 243-4016 or molly.blair@mso.umt.edu
